Happy Birthday and more Good News!

Happy 81 Grandpa!

Last year's party got a little crazy.

My brother and sister ended up in the pool.

It was quite entertaining!

My grandma and grandpa were always an example to me growing up. They were an example of real love. My grandpa worked on a ship and was away from home for months at a time. It seemed he wrote letters constantly to my grandma. When I would visit her, she shared some of them and they were filled with the sweetest words. When he was home, those same sweet words were constantly expressed...

"Love you forever and a day"

It was because of them I knew love could last forever. My grandma has been gone nine years now, but my grandpa continues to be an example of love and hardwork to me.

And what a better day to hear more good news about my brother. He's had two more appointments since my last post and the prayers are working. Everything is still on for the transplant. The date has been moved, but that just gives us all more time to make arrangements to be with him. Please continue to pray.

My Brother

Many of you may or may not know my brother has been waiting for a kidney transplant. Family members have been found to be matches and then the doctors would find some reason why they couldn't donate.I guess you have to be in pretty much perfect health to give up a vital organ.

Well... His girlfriend's mother is in good health and is a match. Transplant is scheduled and just one more test to do eight days prior to surgery.
A benefit is being held in our donor's hometown of Albuquerque. So if anyone knows anyone in the area let them know about it!!

I am trying to get excited about this, but it is hard for me because I don't want to be let down and I want so bad for my brother to be well again. So prayers are in order.

Please keep my brother in your prayers!!

Honest Abe & The Mission

A LOT has been going on in our family and I have posted NADA! Hopefully in the next week or so I will be able to catch up.


Yesterday Ezra was Abraham Lincoln in his School's 2nd grade patriotic program.

Jacob received an A for the project which included the mission model, written research report and oral presentation. I was amazed at his report. My little boy is so grown up and a great writer!!
