OK... One more

Damon & Ezra

I just had to let everyone know that the kidney is in!! Damon and Bebe(his donor) are doing great. Now time will only tell. This is so exciting to think of him being healthy again. Not having to worry about dialysis. Pills are definitely better than dialysis. Ezra made him a "Happy Surgery" card for us all to sign. I wish I would have scanned it before I sent it with my mom. The "H" was riding a skateboard...it was really neat. He is quite the little artist! When I saw him writing the Hap I asked him what he was writing, worried that he was writing Happy Birthday. He told me "Happy Surgery" well DUH mom!! And it is a happy surgery. Bet you couldn't find that in a Hallmark store!

You know... I really have a hard time with giving each entry a title. Its like I'm writing a paper, which I'm not. No thank you!

May is the busiest month of the year for me, even busier than December (I don't overdo Christmas anymore). So, I'll update now for the rest of April and hope for one post in May.

This month Jacob and I went on a field trip to the San Antonio de Padua Mission with the rest of the 4th grade students. It was an adventure to say the least. I got to roam about with 6 boys exploring the mission grounds. After almost 4 hours on the bus we were all ready for our freedom... and our lunch.

There were cats everywhere

Jacob's friend Jack took a picture of us

This month has been interesting with ups and downs and cliffhangers. I've read a great series of books this month, The Land of Elyon. I don't really read books written for adults. I have enough adult things to worry about. An old friend found this blog and that really has justified me creating this thing I hardly have time for.
Damon's transplant is Tuesday morning and the whole family is excited instead of worried. Finally! No more dialysis! I talked to him and he sounds great. Keep praying that all will go well for him and his donor!

Check it out

Both Tiffany and Keri have updated their blogs finally. I'm so excited for all the things going on in my family and friends lives. Keri and Brian are finishing up with finals. Tiffany is doing great at work and... well check out her blog! Jocelyn had another beautiful baby boy. My brother's transplant is coming up. My house is clean (Thanks Carla, it was fun)! A sign is in my yard and maybe someone will buy it, but if not... my house is CLEAN!
Life is good!

Busy, Busy

These pictures are from the day before Easter. I didn't take any pictures on Easter. Bad Mommy! We went up to the Kern Canyon Trail and enjoyed the beutiful weather. The wildflowers were out in full bloom. The boys had a snack on the trail. They have to eat every other hour when they are not at school. We took Luke and of course, he led the way.
After our hike on the trail, we drove up to Kernville and hung out at Riverside Park. As the name of the park states, it is right next to the River (Kern River). Luke enjoyed a dip in the water. We had to keep him on the leash because he probably would have floated back to Bakersfield. You know that fast moving Kern! My favorite part of Kernville is the Pizza Barn. I have seriously contemplated moving up there just so I could eat there whenever I wanted. It really is the best pizza in the world!! Shelby teases me when I say that because I am not really a world traveler, but I insist that it is!! After all the walking and with full bellies, the boys crashed for the winding drive home.
In other news... We are going to try to sell our house. We have met with a few agents and should have it listed by the end of the week. So if any of you know anyone looking for a cute little inexpensive house, let us know ASAP before we sign with an agent. We have gone back and forth about this and the market has been crazy for so long and still is. So we decided there will never be a perfect time to sell and we have waited long enough. And if it doesn't sell, then we are where we are supposed to be and that's fine too. So wish us luck and if anyone wants to come help me pack up things to take to storage and stage the house... PLEASE call me!!!
